Affordable lending overview
NHS provides direct lending to support inclusive, economic development in underserved communities. This practice enables us to create homeownership opportunities, improve housing conditions, prevent foreclosure, and help low-to-moderate income families secure a mortgage they can afford.
Families interested in purchasing their home can work with an NHS Lending Counselor to find the right affordable loan. Families who complete the FasTrak Homebuyer Education Class can receive guidance in applying for downpayment assistance. NHS provides special programs which may help you access loans or grants to help purchase a home. These funds can be applied towards your closing costs, downpayment or funding gaps to lower your monthly payments and make them more affordable.

Home improvement loans
Our Don’t Move, Improve program can include financing, such as low-cost loans, for major rehabilitation and minor repairs. We can also provide financing for ADU construction.
