Wildfire Survivor Resources

Home matters now more than ever

NHS of LA County and Restore the Legacy LA Coalition (RLA) are here to help wildfire survivors recover from the January 2025 disasters.

As a local Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we provide technical assistance and financial support to rebuild homes, small businesses, and the community.

Our team is comprised of HUD-certified financial counselors, as well as lending and construction experts, who will support survivors as they navigate the complex timeline of recovery.

We offer the following resources to wildfire survivors:

  • Financial counseling, case management and “gap funding” to help you rebuild
    • Grants and affordable loans for interim housing (ADUs, RVs, tenant rental assistance). Current ADU grants for wildfire survivors are $15,000.
    • Grants for potential new homebuyers for up to $50,000.
  • Construction project management services, including architects and a network of trusted contractors.
  • Mission-driven real estate services for home buyers and sellers.
  • Free estate planning for wildfire survivors is covered through our Legacy Project.

Attend a Rebuilding and Recovery Workshop

Our Rebuilding and Recovery Workshops are in-person events that support wildfire survivors with technical assistance, financial support, construction project management, and mission-driven real estate services for wildfire survivors. Meet with members of our team, get connected with a HUD-certified housing counselor, and apply for programs that can make moving back home or buying a new place more affordable.

We’d love to meet you there, wherever you are in the recovery process.
