FasTrak Homebuyer Class
Comprehensive education for potential homebuyers
The FasTrak Homebuyer Class is a HUD-approved, 8-hour course supplying you with everything you need to know to buy a house. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate that verifies you attended a pre-purchase homeownership course. We will also match you with a HUD-certified housing counselor who will guide you through next steps.
We are a HUD-certified counseling agency, which means we provide reliable housing and financial education, following strict standards set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). NHS is also part of a national network of 240+ housing agencies.

FAQ
If I haven’t done a workshop with NHS, is this a good place to start?
If you’re new to NHS, start with our HOPE Homebuyer Orientation. It is a free, one-hour course that will walk you through our programs and services.
How is the FasTrak Homebuyer Class different from the HOPE Homebuyer Orientation?
The FasTrak Homebuyer Class is an eight-hour course, broken into two four-hour sessions, that supplies you with a certificate of completion at the end. This certificate can be shown to lenders and can help you qualify for purchase assistance and loans. There is a registration fee that covers both sessions.
The HOPE Homebuyer Orientation, on the other hand, is a free, one-hour introduction to all things homeownership. It’s a great introduction to the programs and services at NHS of LA County.
