Greenline Home Program
Uplifting historically marginalized communities through purchase assistance
The Green Line Home Program was designed to minimize barriers to homeownership resulting from centuries of structural racism and the practice of redlining. New homebuyers living in LA County may be eligible for up to $35,000 to go towards down payment and closing costs.
What is redlining?
Redlining is the discriminatory practice of denying financial services to residents of certain areas based on race or ethnicity. It was formalized in the 1930s through federal policy and remained legal until 1968, when the Fair Housing Act outlawed housing discrimination.
Our Green Line Program empowers communities that were historically discriminated against, as long term effects of redlining remain.
