

Homebuyer Education
Get on the FasTrak to HomeownershipThe FasTrak Homebuyer Classes is a comprehensive eight (8) hour class which includes a credit analysis and are typically scheduled the 2nd and 4th Saturdays monthly (See
Calendar). Completing the FasTrak Homebuyer Class qualifies you for one-on-one personal homeownership counseling, affordable mortage lending services which includes guidance in applying for downpayment assistance. If you are not yet ready to purchase a home, your NHS Homeownership Counselor will work with you to develop a customized plan to improve your readiness.
HOPE Homebuyer Workshops
NHS hosts HOPE Homebuyer Workshops scheduled on the 2nd Saturday of each month. As part of the workshop, potential homebuyers will participate in a FREE homebuyer orientation as well as a preliminary pre-qualification analysis. New homebuyers are encouraged to provide current bank statements (3 months), proof of income and tax returns (last two years), if self-employed, in addition to completing the following documents:
Homebuyer Program Eligibilty Form and
Credit Authorization/Pre-Qualification Form. Though you will still be
required to attend the FasTrak Homebuyer Education Class, be ahead of the process. (See
Calendar).
NHS is certified by the
US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and
NeighborWorks America. When you complete the program you will receive a certificate that verifies you attended pre-purchase homeowner counseling. This certificate is required to qualify for many of the special local, state and federal loan programs.
