NHS’ HOPE Villas, currently in the design phase, is a unique urban agriculture project integrating food production and economic development with high-quality, stable affordable homes for low to moderate income individuals. This project will transform a vacant lot into a combination of both housing to meet the perpetual housing demand and urban agriculture to address the food access and health needs in the community and to improve the community environment. It will be a community of 58 townhomes with a mix of (32) two bedroom, (10) three bedroom, and (16) four bedroom units. The Urban Agriculture Center of HOPE Villas will include: children’s garden, pavilion structure, demonstration kitchen, vertical garden, community event space, farm tables, orchards, agriculture fields, kitchen garden, pack and wash station, and high tunnels.
