- Same-day and Next-day testing now available:
- The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the County of Los Angeles and CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), is providing free COVID-19 testing to Los Angeles County residents. At this time, testing is only for people with symptoms, such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms can now book a same or next day appointment.

- If you’re an immigrant living in California, here is what you need to know to protect yourself, your family, and your community from coronavirus. Services and public benefits are available to you, some regardless of immigration status.
- Unemployment Insurance Claims:
- Starting next Monday (4/20) the EDD’s call center hours are expanding to 7 days a week from 8am – 8pm.

- This is a new program to help unemployed Californians who are business owners, self-employed, independent contractors, and individuals not usually eligible for regular state unemployment benefits. This is an important resource for CBO’s and FBO’s to share with their communities, because many folks we work with may not be eligible for unemployment insurance through the regular means.

- With support from the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles, the Angeleno Card provides financial assistance for in-need households via no-fee prepaid cards provided by Mastercard’s City Possible network
- Relaxed Parking Enforcement in LA City
- Mayor Garcetti announced that relaxed parking enforcement would remain in effect until at least May 15 so that Angelenos can more effectively practice the safe physical distancing necessary during this crisis. - LA County and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative
- This is a new $15M loan application portal for small businesses and nonprofits. This application portal provides an opportunity for small businesses and nonprofits to apply for PPP loans if they have been unable to do so through a traditional banking institution. The online portal can be accessed here. Business owners should be prepared to provide information on their business.
