Who is eligible for Angeleno Card Assistance?
Los Angeles households with total annual incomes that fell below the federal poverty level prior to the COVID-19 crisis AND that have fallen into deeper economic hardship as a result of the crisis (through job loss or income reduced by at least 50%) are eligible. Applicant households will NOT be asked for immigrations status, nor is it considered in determining eligibility. The program is funded by private donations and is not a City program. Any assistance through this fund is not considered a public benefit and is not subject to the Public Charge rule.
How do you apply for assistance?
People will need to complete an Angeleno Card application on hcidla.lacity.org. Applications may only be completed Tuesday, April 14-Thursday, April 16, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Applicants without internet access or who need help applying online may call 213-252-3040 for assistance. They will be walked through the application process via that call.
