Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) is helping low and moderate-income families become homeowners while revitalizing hard-hit neighborhoods.  NHS in partnership with other non-profit organizations were awarded $60 million grant to purchase, repair and resell vacant and foreclosed single family homes. The homes are all located within communities throughout Los Angeles County most impacted by foreclosures.

Funding for these efforts comes from the United States government through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).  The program is expected to produce 500 new homeowners in Los Angeles County.  One of these new homeowners could be you!

Do you qualify? The program is for low to moderate income households.

• If your household income is at or below 120 percent of area median income; and
• You plan on buying a home to live in as your primary residence and not rent it out to anyone else; and
• Do not have any outstanding mortgage obligations at the time of closing.

You may qualify to purchase a home from NHS. In addition, income qualified homebuyers may also be eligible for for downpayment and closing cost assistance.
